As a graduate of the Somatic Psychotherapy Program at CIIS I believe in the body and psyche's innate ability to heal. My study of psychotherapy began at Brown University with a course in Buddhist Psychology- where I also studied Mysticism, Taoism, and East Asian history.
Through clinical practice at an integral counseling center, and while working with Mena Zaminsky as my supervisor, I was able to expand upon my practice with a client-centered, strengths-based, and psychodynamically-informed approach of the different organizations of self. This approach looks at childhood trauma, and early formative experiences.
I work with couples and individual adults. Attachment style, working relationally, and incorporating a trauma-informed approach and a commitment to social justice all feature strongly in my therapeutic approach.
