Dara Freed is a dedicated and compassionate therapist, specializing in individual and couples counseling. With a Master's degree in Integral Counseling Psychology (ICP) from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), Dara brings a wealth of care and presence to her practice.

During her tenure at the Church Street Integral Counseling Center, Dara gained valuable experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, ranging from their 20s to their 70s. She provided individual therapy sessions as well as couples counseling, helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Dara has undergone extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on strengthening emotional bonds and fostering secure attachment in relationships. Her proficiency in EFT counseling enables her to effectively guide couples toward greater understanding, connection, and resilience.

In addition, Dara has completed trainings in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt therapy techniques, and trauma-informed care, which further enhance her ability to provide comprehensive and tailored therapy to her clients. With a background in yoga and mindfulness, Dara is able to bring a somatic bent into her work.

She is deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples overcome challenges, improve their mental health, and ultimately lead more fulfilling lives.

With a warm and empathetic approach, Dara creates a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Her collaborative approach fosters meaningful change, empowering clients to develop effective coping strategies and build healthier connections.

When she’s not in the therapy room, you can find Dara exploring the great outdoors; hiking in the woods with her dog and kids, camping in all the amazing wilderness areas so close to home, or sharing home cooked meals with friends and family. She also enjoys live music and dancing, as well as all the meaningful connections she has cultivated over the years that inspire her to learn, grow, and find beauty in even the smallest of moments.
